St Clare's College is at the forefront of education when it comes to innovation in teaching and learning. We are seeking an experienced Student Services officer to join our very busy front office from Term 2.

The role of Student Services officer is vital to the day to day running of the College. The focus of this role is to support the attendance and medical needs of each student and involves working collaboratively with other front office and support staff. This role is a fast paced ever changing position when one day is never the same as the next. As a member of St Clare's College, the role requires a commitment to supporting a positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for young women in the Franciscan tradition.

About You

As a School Support Officer (Student Services), you will be an integral member of the school community and you will demonstrate St Clare’s College values and professional standards in interacting with students, staff, parents and the community. The role is a two-day position, scheduled for Mondays and Tuesdays.

You must be able to demonstrate:

  • strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to deal sensitively with students, parents/carers and staff when required
  • excellent organisational and multi tasking skills including the ability to work effectively in a busy environment, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • experience working in school administration
  • experience with Compass and CiA or the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
  • advanced computer literacy skills (MS Office and Google suite)
  • accuracy and attention to detail
  • proven ability to recognise confidential issues as they arise and to treat them with the sensitivity required
  • a willingness to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
  • a willingness to perform other duties as directed by the Principal, Assistant Principal or other Superiors
  • a current First Aid certificate (HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting).
