Position Details
IEC Mental Health Practitioner
The College Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) is an integral member of Aranmore Catholic College’s pastoral care structure. The MHP supports the mental health, wellbeing, and educational engagement of students across K–12 and students enrolled in the College’s Intensive English Centre (IEC).
The MHP is responsible for delivering student-focused, evidence-based support addressing the social-emotional, and mental health needs of students, and contributing to initiatives that enhance wellbeing across the wider College community.
The MHP collaborates with staff and leadership to foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture, build strong partnerships with families, and ensure that student wellbeing practices align with CEWA guidelines, child safety standards, and evidence-based mental health frameworks.
The MHP will provide trauma-informed, culturally sensitive responsive support for IEC students and families, focussing on settlement, adjustment, safety and engagement.
