As the Head of Special Education Services (HOSES), you will lead the development and implementation of inclusive practices, ensuring every student achieves their potential.
Your role will be pivotal in fostering a culture of high expectations and collaboration, supporting staff to deliver quality teaching and learning experiences for students with diverse needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the College department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students and staff within the school department.
- Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.

The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in leading and managing inclusive education practices and teams.
- Strong leadership, change management, and communication skills.
- Expertise in designing and delivering tailored learning plans to meet diverse student needs.
- A commitment to fostering student engagement, outcomes, and wellbeing.
