Year Five Teacher
Our Lady of Mercy is a double-stream co-educational Catholic primary school catering for students from Kindergarten to Year Six. Through high-quality teaching, strong English language support, and a deep commitment to student wellbeing, every child is supported to feel secure, learn with confidence, and grow in faith and friendship.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic educator to join our dynamic teaching and learning team in a Maternity Leave Replacement position.
We pride ourselves on delivering an individualised curriculum within an inclusive environment where every student is known, valued, and supported. Our school is well resourced and committed to progressive, evidence-based teaching and learning practices across all year levels.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
• An understanding of, and commitment to, the ethos of Catholic education
• A strong knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum
• Inclusive teaching practices that support students with diverse learning, social and cultural needs, with a consistent focus on safety and wellbeing
• The ability to use a range of assessment and reporting strategies to monitor student progress
• Skill in analysing and using data to inform teaching and improve student achievement
• Proficiency in Digital Technologies, including iPad integration across curriculum areas
