Cleaner in Charge

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026

Alkimos College is seeking a Cleaner in Charge to lead our growing cleaning team. The position is Monday to Friday with a split shift of 5.00 am to 10.00 am and then 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm.

Located in the northern suburb of Alkimos with sweeping ocean views, Alkimos College opened in 2020 with our foundation Year 7 cohort, providing local intake area students with access to an exceptional secondary education in world-class learning facilities. Stage 1 buildings include administration, lower school student services, library, gymnasium, fitness centre, food studios, cafeteria, Information Technology labs, technologies workshops, general classrooms, science laboratories, and nature play area. Shared oval and community facilities with the City of Wanneroo are available via the adjacent Halesworth Park precinct. Stage 2 (completed in 2024), includes a performing arts centre, lecture theatre, senior school student services centre and two double storey general classroom blocks.

The Role

The Cleaner in Charge is responsible for opening/closing the school, carry out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and other items of general cleaning.
