Alkimos Primary School opened in February 2016 and caters for over 700 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school continues to develop a highly engaging and dynamic learning environment, where building relationships between students and community is key and is committed to delivering an inclusive and future-focussed learning environment. The school hosts a Specialised Learning Program (SLP) for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This program supports the individual needs of students with ASD from Kindergarten to Year 6 who are at risk of disengagement, underachieving and/or have significant difficulties with adaptive behaviours. The program provides targeted, evidence-based intervention within a nurturing and structured environment, with the goal of successful reintegration into mainstream schooling. The Role

In partnership with the Principal and Leadership Team, the Deputy Principal provides high-level instructional and operational leadership across the school. The role is pivotal in shaping and sustaining a culture aligned to the school’s values, ethos and strategic priorities. The Deputy Principal works collaboratively with staff, students, families and the broader community to foster shared ownership of the school’s vision and to drive improved student outcomes.
