Description
Yalata Anangu School is part of a remote Aboriginal Community in the Anangu Lands Partnership and is situated on the Far West Coast approx. 200 kilometres west of Ceduna on the edge of the Nullarbor Plain in South Australia. Surrounded by an amazing coastline. The school has a strong focus on developing oral literacy and phonological awareness, reading and writing and learning on-country together with developing social and emotional school readiness. The school has established strong transitions from preschool to school.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood teacher to lead our preschool space. This role is central to supporting children transitioning from Preschool into the next stage of their education, ensuring that each child experiences a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
What you will do:
Take responsibility for the planning, delivery, and assessment of the preschool
Provide an inclusive curriculum that caters to a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
Liaise closely with the playgroup teacher to ensure a smooth transition between the 2 spaces.
Monitor, document, and report on students' progress, growth, and development to the line manager.
Create a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and families to promote the well-being and success of each student.
Qualifications and Skills:
Recognised teaching qualification (Early Childhood Education or equivalent).
Experience working with young children, ideally within Anangu early years or pā¦
