The Role
We're searching for a highly capable Manager Corporate Services (MCS) to provide comprehensive oversight of our school's critical financial, physical, and human resources. Reporting directly to the Principal, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of all our school operations.
As our MCS, you'll play a central role in the strategic management and leadership of change within the school, working closely with the Principal and the Executive Leadership Team. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Financial Management: Administering and reporting on the financial integrity of the school's business operations, including financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and actively monitoring financial performance against strategic plans. You'll ideally provide valuable input to ensure the fiscal health of the school and ensure all audit requirements are strictly followed, adhering to Department policies and guidelines.
- Resource Oversight: Managing the school’s physical assets, including buildings, facilities, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This also extends to strategic involvement in the development of Business and Marketing Plans in collaboration with the Principal and the Executive Leadership Team.
- Human Resources: Supervising and guiding all school support staff (such as cleaners and school officers) in the administration of tasks related to human resource coordination, including recruitment, selection, induction, and managing staff performance and development. You'll effectively lead this team to support the school’s strategic priorities and direction.
- Operational Leadership: Collaborating with the Leadership Team to lead the operation of the school, with a strong focus on workforce development, human resource management, and building and facilities management. Ideally, ensuring all administrative processes are compliant with relevant legislation and Department policy and guidelines.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively participating in committees and working groups to align strategies with both school-based and regional business targets. You'll work with individuals, teams, committees, and external stakeholders to support and progress the school’s strategic priority areas.
About You
We're seeking a proactive and results-driven individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will ideally possess:
- Proven Experience: A strong track record in human resource and financial management, demonstrating the ability to negotiate effectively and build and maintain robust relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including staff, administration, parents, and the wider community.
- Financial Acumen: Sound financial management skills and strategic administration experience, with a focus on providing consistency for financial planning and budgeting within the school.
- Strategic Vision: An intrinsic involvement in the implementation of the school’s Business Plan to ensure improved student outcomes.
- Leadership Capability: Skills to effectively supervise, manage, and develop school support staff.
- Technical Proficiency (highly regarded): Experience in the application of School Information System (SIS), Asset and Human Resource Management Information Systems (HRMIS) packages, ICT Dashboard, and RAMS Recruitment processes.
