We currently have the following positions available, commencing Term 2, 2026:

  • 2x permanent full-time positions
  • 1x permanent part-time (0.4FTE) position
  • 1x permanent part-time (0.6FTE) position

All teaching and support staff bring extensive experience in the field of Special Needs education. A high staff-to-student ratio ensures the delivery of personalised one-on-one and small group instruction, enabling tailored support to meet each student’s individual learning needs. Currently, East Victoria Park Education Support Centre (ECS) has seven classrooms, with an additional classroom opening in Term 2, to support our growing school community.

Classrooms are air-conditioned, spacious, and well-resourced to deliver a wide range of learning programs. The Centre’s facilities include a Mini Woolies, a garden area, an early childhood playground, and a covered outdoor learning space.

Located onsite with East Victoria Park Primary School the Centre shares access to the campus library, assembly area, and playgrounds. Strong partnerships with the primary school provide students with valuable opportunities to participate in transition programs and broader learning experiences, supporting inclusion and community engagement.

The Role

East Victoria Park ESC is seeking to appoint  passionate and innovative Teachers, ideally with expertise in designing highly engaging and personalised learning opportunities for students with diverse needs.

The successful applicants will ideally be dedicated and enthusiastic educators, and innovative practitioners, and highly motivated professionals who thrive in a collaborative team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are desirable, along with ideally the ability to work effectively within a team. A willingness to actively engage in professional learning and liaise with colleagues, parents, and external networks is highly valued. The role also requires the capacity to provide clear direction to Education Assistants and to build positive, trusting relationships across the whole school community.

Applicants with knowledge and experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Letters and Sounds, Talk 4 Writing, Zones of Regulation, the Berry Street Education Model, and Positive Behaviour Support will be highly regarded.

The successful applicants will deliver purposeful and engaging learning programs that support the development of students’ communication skills, independence, and functional literacy and numeracy through relevant, individualised learning opportunities.

  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
