Champion Bay Senior High School (SHS) seeking to establish a pool of Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer (AIEO) for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
The role of the AIEO is to improve the educational outcomes of Aboriginal and Islander students by ensuring they receive the educational and cultural support they need to feel welcome, respected, understood and cared for and giving them the skills to achieve academically to the best of their abilities.
AIEOs assist and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, particularly those at risk, through mentoring and pastoral care to ensure their participation and achievement in the school environment.
