About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Lead and implement innovative, socially just strategies to improve student learning outcomes, achievement and attendance, particularly for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Monitor student performance and behaviour, develop targeted intervention and engagement strategies (including induction for new arrivals), and address academic, social and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate and communicate with parents, staff, school leadership, higher education institutions, State Schools Division and external agencies to strengthen student outcomes and attendance.
  • Develop community partnerships and engagement programs with local businesses, not-for-profit organisations and support agencies to assist students and families.
  • Manage departmental human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources, ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies, and prepare required data reports for the Principal.
