About our School

Bellbird Park State Secondary College, one of Queensland's newest secondary schools, opened in 2017 for Year 7 students and is growing a year level at a time, with its first Year 12 cohort graduating in 2022. About the role

The Community Liaison Officer (CLO) serves as a vital communication bridge between our school and the community, fostering positive relationships and ensuring two-way information flow.

As our CLO, your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Communication and Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for the public, responding to inquiries, providing information, and building relationships with community members.
  • Information Dissemination: Prepare and distribute reports, briefing notes, and other documents to keep the community informed about an organisation's activities and issues.
  • Conflict Resolution: Utilise negotiation and conflict resolution skills to address concerns and facilitate constructive conversations between different parties.
  • Community Building: Organise and support community events and initiatives to strengthen ties and promote participation in programs and decision-making processes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, including community leaders, government agencies, and welfare organisations.
  • Administrative Support: Manage correspondence, maintain confidential files, and provide administrative support for meetings and project planning.
  • Outreach and Education: Develop and deliver targeted outreach programs and educational materials to address specific community issues, such as social cohesion or crime prevention.
