Position Information

Cootamundra High School is a rural comprehensive high school serving Cootamundra and surrounding communities, with approximately 220 students, including three multi-categorical support classes integrated into mainstream learning. An off-campus Outreach Centre supports students with complex needs to continue their education with dignity and respect. The school promotes a respectful, inclusive and high-expectation learning environment where every student is challenged to learn and improve. Cootamundra High School has a Family Occupation and Employment Index of 128 and a student population that includes 13% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The school proudly stands on Gudhamangdhuray Wiradjuri land and acknowledges the strength and resilience of the Aboriginal girls of the Stolen Generations who attended the former Cootamundra Girls Home. Students access a broad curriculum, including Vocational Education and Training through Cootamundra TAFE, and achieve consistent success in the HSC. A range of extracurricular opportunities further supports student engagement and wellbeing.
