About the Role

As Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities include:

• Lead the development, implementation and review of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and adjustments.
• Lead the development, implementation and review of Multi Tiered Systems of Support.
• Provide expert advice and coaching/mentoring to staff on differentiation, Universal Design for Learning and inclusive practices.
• Coordinate NCCD processes and ensure accurate documentation and compliance.
• Work closely with classroom teachers, support staff and specialist services to build collective capability.
• Partner with families and external agencies to support positive student outcomes.

Contribute as a member of the school leadership team to support whole-school improvement priorities.

Skills and Experience:

• We are looking for our next Head of Special Education Services to have:
• Experience supporting students with disability and diverse learning needs.
• Strong knowledge of inclusive education and reasonable adjustments.
• Proven ability to lead, collaborate, and communicate effectively.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a HOSES or similar leadership role.
• Qualifications or training in special education or inclusive practice.
