About the role:

As the Principal Advisor, Regional Services you will:    

  • Manage the regional activities and resources to effectively develop and implement strategic priorities and policy.
  • Assess strategic issues and provide expert advice and support to the Executive Director and members of executive management to enable quality executive decision making.

In this position you will have an opportunity to:

  • Lead a small team growing their skills and knowledge in the areas of policy and procedure particularly when managing customer complaints and enquiries
  • Increase staff awareness of human rights considerations and how this applies in the public sector
  • Communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of complex written reports
  • Oversee the processes to manage the regions enquiries and complaints in line with the Department's customer complaints management policy and procedure
  • Demonstrate a strong focus on accurate record keeping
  • Oversee governance processes in the regional office including Business Continuity Planning, Risk Management, Right to Information request, Privacy matters and media contact
