Darling Downs South West Region is seeking a committed and dynamic Senior Guidance Officer to support and coordinate guidance services that achieve results and deliver outcomes for students. In this role, you will employ high quality communication skills to develop and implement a system of clinical and technical supervision in collaboration with key stakeholders. This is a temporary part-time position (0.2FTE or 10 hours per fortnight), unless otherwise determined.

About the Role:
The Senior Guidance Officer plays a key role in the region's delivery of regional guidance services. The role is line managed by Deputy Principal, Inclusion.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Coordinate, deliver, and oversee professional development, training, induction, and supervision programs related to guidance and counselling practice for Guidance Officers.
- Provide and coordinate direct guidance and counselling services to students, in consultation with Principals and school-based guidance staff.
- Work collaboratively with Principals and Guidance Officers to ensure the effective, appropriate, and consistent delivery of guidance and counselling services across schools.
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems of technical and clinical supervision to support best practice in psychoeducational assessment, personal, career and course counselling, and behaviour management interventions.
- Participate in regional SCAN teams as required and establish, maintain, and promote effective multi-agency and multidisciplinary networks to support holistic responses to complex educational, personal, and vocational needs within schools and the wider community.
