Who We Are:

Bwgcolman Community School is a National Partnership Pre-Prep-12 school located on tropical Palm Island which is 65km north north-west of Townsville in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

In 1993, the school changed its name from Palm Island State School to better reflect the importance the community plays in their children's education. 

Our motto '2 Way Strong' also reflects the importance of our students being able to participate in the global community while remaining strong in Palm Island culture and maintaining their identity.
