About the Role

As the School Technical Officer, you will play a vital role in managing and supporting the school's ICT network to enhance student learning opportunities. Reporting to the Principal, Business Manager, or a nominated delegate, you will ensure the smooth operation of ICT systems and provide technical support to staff and students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice and assistance to optimise ICT operations, including acquisition, installation, maintenance, and replacement of equipment.
  • Offering technical advice, instruction, and assistance to the school community in line with departmental and school policies.
  • Delivering in-service training to staff on effective ICT tool usage to support educational services.
  • Resolving technical issues for staff and students while maintaining a high level of customer focus and communication.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance, repairs, and record-keeping for ICT infrastructure and equipment.

This role would suit a proactive and technically skilled individual who is passionate about supporting education through ICT solutions.

About You

The following traits would be beneficial:

  • Technical knowledge of server hardware, configuration, and networking peripherals.
  • Strong understanding of PC systems, Apple iPads, and printer support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with network security, remote support tools, and creative problem-solving.
