An exciting opportunity exists at Ironside State School as the Head of Special Education Services (HOSES) in a permanent, full-time capacity. You will possess strong knowledge of inclusive education and behavioural engagement support, applying a trauma-informed approach to managing complex student cases. About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support through the Special Education and/or Early Childhood Development Program, ensuring effective services for students with disability.
  • Provide expert guidance to the leadership team and staff, supporting the development and implementation of reasonable adjustments and inclusive practices.
  • Coordinate intensive targeted teaching and case management for students requiring substantial or extensive adjustments.
  • Establish and oversee school-wide systems, including data processes and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data, to monitor and support students with disability.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, agencies, and community groups while effectively managing human, financial, facility, and curriculum resources to achieve program goals.
