Details: This is a pivotal role within the Directorate and across the ACT Government, focused on supporting schools in both the proactive management and response to incidents involving occupational violence and complex student needs. Complex Case Managers work collaboratively across teams to promote staff safety and help schools support students with challenging behaviours and complex needs. The role requires strong consultation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated experience in working with students with complex behaviours, along with a solid understanding of work health and safety considerations in educational settings. Their work will contribute to creating safer, more supportive school environments for both staff and students.
- Health Professional 4 (HP4) salary is $127,597 to $141,511
- Senior Officer Grade C (SOGC) salary is $127,597 to $136,873
Eligibility/Other Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Psychology, Social Work or Behavioural Analysis is mandatory for the Health Professional role and would be desirable for Senior Officer Grade C role.

- Current drivers’ licence is required.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until 17 July 2026 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
