THE OPPORTUNITY 

The Executive Director of Schools invites applications for the full time position of Team Leader, Clinical Practice and Student Safety which operates as part of the Improvement, Learning & Wellbeing team supporting the 38 systemic Catholic schools in the Diocese of Wollongong.

Reporting to the Head of Wellbeing and Student Support, you will play a pivotal role in leading our psychologists and child safety advisors. This is a senior appointment designed for a professional who can balance high-level clinical oversight with strategic advocacy, ensuring our schools remain safe, nurturing environments where every student can thrive.

YOUR IMPACT

As a key driver of clinical excellence and student safety, you will:

  • Lead & mentor: Supervise a dedicated team of child safety advisors and psychologists, fostering a culture of pastoral care, professional growth, and trauma-informed practice.
  • Clinical oversight: Establish and implement consistent ‘ways of working’ for psychometric and child safety services across the Diocese.
  • Strategic response: Provide expert advice on a range of matters including complex mental health presentation, Risk of Significant Harm (RoSH) and student sexualised behaviours.
  • System improvement: Collaboratively develop a Clinical Governance Framework in partnership with stakeholders.
