Description
Cranbrook School is seeking casual Learn to Swim Instructors to join its state of the art Aquatic & Fitness Centre, based at the Senior School campus at Bellevue Hill.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the Learn to Swim Coordinator, you will be responsible for the implementation of safe, professional and well-organised Learn to Swim lessons.
You will provide swimming lessons to individuals, students and groups in a safe, fun and educational environment according to the Learn to Swim curriculum and framework. Using encouragement, positive reinforcement and continuous feedback, you will improve the swimming ability of participants and help them reach their full potential.
As a Learn to Swim Instructor, you will continuously seek opportunities to grow and improve your own skills and teaching techniques.

ABOUT YOU
You are an enthusiastic Learn to Swim professional who has a passion for delivering high quality swimming lessons. You understand the importance of safety procedures and are able to create an inclusive learning environment that is also enjoyable for all participants. You have a customer service focus and are committed to providing an excellent user experience.
To be successful in this position, you must be an outstanding communicator and able to work well with students, parents and other Learn To Swim Instructors.
SELECTION CRITERIA
— AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (or equivalent)
— Demonstrated understanding of competency-based development programs
— A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural incident
— Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
— A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
— A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.
Previous experience working in an aquatic or fitness centre or independent school and additional AUSTSWIM qualifications will be advantageous.
