The opportunity
Suitably experienced and qualified applicants are invited to apply for a permanent part-time Creative and Media Arts Assistant role in the Creative Arts Department. This position is required to work 4 days per week, term-time only.
About the role
The Creative and Media Arts Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day support provided to teachers within the Creative Arts Department including ordering and preparation of materials and equipment for practical lessons, maintaining safe and ordered learning spaces, and display of art works. Displaying a high degree of initiative and ability to work independently. Applicants must be able to work cooperatively in a team specifically supporting the Head of Department and teachers.

About you
The successful candidate will have a passion for working with students. We are looking for confident self-starters who enjoy building relationships with people, possess excellent communication and organisation skills, and can be relied upon to work autonomously.
Candidates must:
· Demonstrate experience with, or willingness to learn management of technical media equipment (for example, cameras, tripods, cables).
· Demonstrate competency in the use of the MS Office suite.
· Be energetic, enthusiastic and demonstrate a willingness to grow through the sharing of best practice and professional experience
Work as a member of a team to support children’s engagement and success as learners
· Commit to the safeguarding and promotion of student welfare
· Be reliable and punctual

Qualifications/Experience
- Experience in the Creative Arts (for example, visual arts mediums, photography, film, digital art, media)
- Familiarity in working with a range of arts materials and media equipment
- A solid knowledge of WHS requirements is required
- Working with Vulnerable People card
