About the Role
As Head of Department – Mathematics, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight of Mathematics teaching and learning, ensuring programs align with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) requirements and the College’s reporting expectations.
The Mathematics Department is housed in a modern, purpose-built classroom block, offering an inspiring environment for both staff and students.
You will play a key role in shaping curriculum excellence, fostering innovation, and leading a collaborative, passionate team of educators.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven leadership of a dedicated and experienced Mathematics teaching team.
- Expertise in curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation, with a strong focus on student wellbeing and achievement.
- The ability to work collaboratively as a member of the College’s Head of Department Leadership Team.
- Innovative teaching practice, including the effective integration of ICT to enhance learning.
- Strong knowledge of and commitment to the NSW Mathematics Curriculum.
- A passion for developing inclusive and forward-thinking learning approaches.
- A commitment to service excellence, engaging positively and professionally with parents and carers.
