Cranbrook School is seeking an outstanding teacher of English to join our dynamic Senior School teaching team.

ABOUT THE POSITION

This is a full-time position based at the Senior School campus in Bellevue Hill.

SELECTION CRITERIA

—     NESA accreditation to teach in New South Wales (required)

—     Demonstrated skills in teaching English to senior school students

—     Sound knowledge and understanding of the NSW Curriculum and current teaching and learning theory and practice

—     Capacity to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all learners through varied teaching strategies and pedagogical practices to maximise learning

—     Experience with a range of online platforms, including Learning Management Systems, to support learning and provide feedback

—     Creative mindset and ability to design interactive and dynamic lessons

—     Organisational skills to manage schedules, events and student records

—    Passion for English literature and language and fostering a love of the subject in students

—     A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural incident

—     Strong physical, mental and emotional health to deal with the required demands and responsibilities of the role

—     Current First Aid and CPR qualifications

—     A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

—     A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.

Experience with the International Baccalaureate would be advantageous.
