Selection Criteria

Dandenong West Primary School is seeking an ES to join our growing team.

The successful applicant will work with students requiring additional support in literacy and numeracy, delivering evidence-based interventions and supporting classroom learning. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a school committed to high expectations, explicit teaching and improving outcomes for every student.

Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and a passion for helping students succeed will be highly regarded.

1. Demonstrated ability to support students in developing foundational literacy and numeracy skills.

2. Knowledge of effective instructional practices and intervention approaches.

3. Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and support student engagement.

4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Role

Range 3 is distinguished by the introduction of management responsibility and accountability for the delivery of professional support services. The role will usually impact beyond the work area or professional field. It seeks to gain cooperation of other staff members or members of the school community to achieve specific objectives, such as in school administration, operations or educational programs.
