Education Assistant - Special Needs

We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Established in 1985, Cyril Jackson Senior Campus Education Support Centre (CJSC ESC) is a progressive school which enrols students with disabilities from Years 10 to 13. Located in the Perth suburb of Bassendean, we are a 5-minute walk from Ashfield Train Station. Our close proximity to the railway line facilitates independent travel and students commute daily from local suburbs. We are a dynamic school with a dedicated and professional team who believe in our vision “Empowering every student to identify and reach their full potential through encouragement, opportunity, inclusivity and positive celebration of achievement”.  

We motivate student learning by focusing on high expectations and positive engagement, and do this by providing a range of individualised programs and a relevant curriculum in a safe and inclusive environment, where students feel they belong thus increasing their confidence and capacity to fully participate in opportunities which promote emotional, social and academic growth, maximising their ability to take an active, independent and valued place in their community.
