Role description
Student Learning Support is a top priority for us as we have ongoing requirements. We are keen to build our talent pool of suitably qualified and equipped SLS Aides and we invite applications for the Student Learning Support Aide (Full time / Part-time / Casual).This is an opportunity for anyone who is passionate about Christian Education and working in a productive team environment with students. The role requires experience in managing and supporting students with special needs either from Primary or from Secondary.
The successful applicant should:
● Be a committed Christian who is actively involved in their local church
● Be able to assist in providing quality Christian education to students, collaboratively
● Have a genuine love of children and be committed to their growth in learning
● Have Learning Aide or SLSO experience
● Ideally, have an Education Support Certificate in I, II, or III with similar skills
● Have a willingness to complete First Aid training as per College expectations and complete the mandatory AIS child protection training
Details of the role:
• The Learning Support Aide will work effectively within a team, actively assisting students with a disability, under the direction of the classroom teachers and Student Learning Support Team (SLS).
• They will work with individual students and groups in a classroom setting and may need to accompany staff and students on excursions.
