Details: The Policy and Service Design team is responsible for the service design and phased implementation of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) in all ACT public schools.

The Assistant Director works under limited direction in a small team progressing the MTSS blueprint design from pilot to phased implementation across all ACT Public Schools. MTSS is part of the Strong Foundations Reform Program and connects to work across student learning, wellbeing and behaviour support.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

In accordance with directorate policies:

  • Provide evidence-based advice for system-level decision-making related to MTSS, and support schools during its piloting and phased implementation.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to MTSS.
  • Assist in the design and delivery of workshops and professional development sessions for schools and stakeholders.
  • Assist the Senior Director with the implementation of the MTSS pilot in ACT public schools.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, briefs, ministerial correspondence and policy documents that support the implementation of MTSS.
