Learning Support Officer

Nazareth is seeking passionate a Learning Support Officer to join our dynamic school community.  The ideal candidate will be committed to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes student growth, academic achievement and a love for learning.

ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

• Immediate start (or subject to availability)
• Ability to work Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm is essential.
• Experience in secondary school setting preferred.
• Provide Evidence of Working With Children Check. 
• An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students and colleagues.
• Working with students in the class setting, providing 1:1 instructional support. 
• Providing support for a student’s academic learning, behaviour program, physical care, or social progress throughout the entirety of a school day.
• Assisting with the identification of student needs, skills and problems as they arise, and the evaluation of their progress, keeping the Learning Diversity Team informed at all times.
• Liaising with Education Support personnel and Teaching staff in order to maintain a comprehensive support program.
• An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students and colleagues.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Undertaking various administrative duties.
• Provide evidence of the right to live and work in Australia.
• A willingness to support the Catholic identity of the College is essential.
• A commitment to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children.
