Role description

St Stephen’s School is looking for an organised and proactive School Canteen Manager who enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating a welcoming space at the heart of our School. We’re looking for someone who can lead this space with care, energy and a strong sense of community, while delivering a high-quality, safe and efficient food service.

 About the role
As our Canteen Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the Canteen and play a key role in ensuring our students are well looked after each day. You’ll bring together organisation, teamwork and a genuine love of working with people.

Your day-to-day might include:

  • Planning and managing the daily operations of the canteen, including food preparation, service and stock control

  • Keeping things running smoothly and ensuring food safety standards are consistently met

  • Opening and closing the canteen each day

  • Leading and supporting a small team of employees and volunteers, creating a positive and supportive environment

  • Coordinating volunteer rosters and building strong relationships with our School community

  • Maintaining daily, accurate records and documentation including canteen financial management

  • Ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures in daily operations, following safe food handling practices
