Role description
St Stephen’s School is looking for an organised and proactive School Canteen Manager who enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating a welcoming space at the heart of our School. We’re looking for someone who can lead this space with care, energy and a strong sense of community, while delivering a high-quality, safe and efficient food service.
About the role
As our Canteen Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the Canteen and play a key role in ensuring our students are well looked after each day. You’ll bring together organisation, teamwork and a genuine love of working with people.
Your day-to-day might include:
Planning and managing the daily operations of the canteen, including food preparation, service and stock control
Keeping things running smoothly and ensuring food safety standards are consistently met
Opening and closing the canteen each day
Leading and supporting a small team of employees and volunteers, creating a positive and supportive environment
Coordinating volunteer rosters and building strong relationships with our School community
Maintaining daily, accurate records and documentation including canteen financial management
Ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures in daily operations, following safe food handling practices
