The Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Bus Driver to join our team at St James Catholic School. This temporary part-time role supports the safe and efficient transport of students to and from Booleroo Centre for Friday school runs. The position plays an important role in ensuring each journey is managed with care, professionalism and a strong commitment to student wellbeing.

Work schedule:

• Friday: 7:30am – 9:00am and 3:15pm – 4:45pm (total 3 hours, excluding breaks)

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating the school bus safely and in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures to minimise risk
• Transporting students to and from Booleroo Centre according to the scheduled Friday service
• Conducting passenger attendance checks and ensuring all students are accounted for at the completion of each run
• Completing daily safety and maintenance checks and reporting any issues promptly
• Maintaining the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the bus, including minor maintenance tasks
• Promoting safe behaviour and communicating expectations to students while on board
