Role description

This fixed-term opportunity is offered at approximately 0.5 FTE across five days per week, with the potential for the fraction to increase depending on second teaching area.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for health and physical education, a commitment to student wellbeing, and the ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments that support students to achieve their personal best. The key responsibilities are to:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Physical Education learning experiences across Middle and Senior Years
  • Foster positive and respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Support student wellbeing through positive classroom practice and pastoral care
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to design and implement high-quality learning experiences
  • Utilise a variety of teaching strategies to support learners of mixed abilities and backgrounds
  • Contribute positively to the broader life of the College community

About you:

The successful applicant will hold:

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and current Teacher Registration in South Australia
  • Experience teaching Physical Education at a secondary level
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Effective classroom management practices
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • A commitment to continuous professional learning and reflective practice
  • Current WWCC, RRHAN-EC Fundamentals & Masterclass certification, and First Aid in an education setting
