Position Information
Gables Public School is a new primary school currently under construction at 1 Pennant Way, Gables. The school is located in the Northwest growth area of Sydney and is expected to experience rapid enrolment growth in the first 5 years of operation.
The school will officially open on Day 1, 2027 and will have capacity for up to 1000 students. The school will include 3 support classes and a preschool.
Due to the unique and complex nature of opening a new school, it is anticipated that the Assistant Principal will commence in Term 4, 2026 and work with the Principal to support the school's successful opening in 2027.
Specific Selection Criteria
1.Well-developed understanding of explicit teaching principles and proven ability to support the implementation of evidence-informed explicit teaching practices, ensuring growth and attainment of literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students.
