Role description
Errington Special Education Centre caters for students with an intellectual disability and associated complex needs R-12. Approx seventy percent of our students live with Autism and 98% live with complex communication needs and many with complex behavioural/sensory needs. The student community is multicultural and diverse. All students have a One Plan.
The Positive Behaviour Learning (PBL) Officer provides high-level support, leadership, and management in the implementation of PBL practices at Errington Special Education Centre. The role utilises specialist skills to mentor staff, manage administrative functions, coordinate staff induction and professional development, adhere to site protocols, and facilitate operational, educational, and wellbeing outcomes for students and staff in a complex special school environment. Additionally, the role supports the design, implementation, and facilitation of school
wide practices and programs, which include delivering training and development, as well as coaching and
mentoring. Please note the salary amount may differ from that advertised. Salary is dependent upon your current employment status with the Department for Education, tenure and hours per week. The salary stated is based on an employee working 52 weeks per annum, full time equivalent. The successful applicant will be employed under the appropriate mode of employment.
