Role description
This is a 3-month fixed term, part-time (0.8FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2026 with possible extension
Orange Grove Primary School (PS) is a small, growing metropolitan school located in a picturesque rural setting on the edge of the Darling Escarpment near Bickley Reservoir. Established in 1923, our school has a proud and longstanding history. While we honour our traditions, our focus remains firmly on preparing students for the future.

The Role
The School Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth financial operation of the school. This includes tasks such as undertaking account and GST coding, reconciling financial records and processing invoices. School Officers also assist with month-end procedures such as transporting receipts to the bank and maintaining data integrity. They will be responsible for collating figures for financial planning and budgeting, which will help the school make informed decisions about its resources.
In addition to financial management, the School Officer will also assist with the management of school assets. This includes overseeing the administration of out-of-hours use of school facilities, coordinating and negotiating maintenance and repairs, and maintaining key registers and security system codes. They will assist with the induction and support of administrative school support staff, by developing induction programs and materials and coordinating relief staff.
