Role description


We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistants – Special Needs for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to end Term 4, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

As Education Assistant – Special Needs you will form part of our dedicated team of staff working with students with a range of special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Cerebral Palsy (CP), Global Developmental Delay (GDD) and other mental health and developmental disabilities and/or disorders. In this role, you will ideally collaborate with the classroom teacher to assist in the planning and delivery of educational programs to support the learning and development of students with special needs. Building meaningful relationships with children with special needs and their families will be an important part of this role, and as such, effective communication and interpersonal skills will be required.
