Tangara currently has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Head of English (Secondary) commencing in Term 3, 2026. This is a permanent full-time Secondary Teacher role, in addition to a 3-year fixed term leadership appointment (with opportunity to extend), that attracts a Leadership Level 1 allowance. Reporting to the Head of Secondary, the Head of English provides educational leadership and management of Secondary English courses.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, the Head of English (Secondary) will be required to:

  • Coordinate and develop programs for English courses, and course overviews (incorporating scope and sequence and assessment schedules) using the prescribed curriculum templates.
  • Monitor the teaching and learning programs for English courses.
