Kinma School is a unique independent progressive school located in Terrey Hills on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, set on two hectares alongside a national park. From preschool to primary, we provide dynamic, child-centred learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity and deep engagement.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative primary teacher to join our Year 4–6 team for either three or four days per week (0.6–0.8 FTE) across Terms 3 and 4, 2026. Preference for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team-teaching environment alongside an experienced long-term Kinma educator.
About the Role
The successful applicant will:
- Team teach a mixed-age Year 4–6 class (28 students across two teachers)
- Design and deliver engaging inquiry-based, integrated learning programs
- Foster students’ academic, social and emotional growth by providing inclusive learning experiences with differentiated planning meeting the wholistic needs of the children
- Contribute to reflective planning and collaborative teaching practices aligning with the NSW curriculum
- Assess, document and report on the children’s progress in the KLA’s and social and emotional journey
- Engage with Kinma’s progressive education philosophy and child-centred approach through ongoing professional learning
- Be involved in the rich community events throughout the terms
