Primary objective
To liaise with schools, registered training organisations (RTO’s), and industry to engage students in vocational work placement opportunities. The Industry Engagement Coordinator proactively supports students to access the workplace by facilitating structured engagement with local businesses.
Context statement
The Department of Education and Training (DET) oversees vocational programs across public and private Northern Territory (NT) secondary schools, including managing the distribution of Vocational Education and Training (VET) funding and facilitating industry partnerships. Working alongside schools, this position engages with RTOs and industry to enable students to access work placements in line with their chosen vocation.
