About the role

St Christopher’s Primary School is seeking to employ a classroom teacher, beginning July 13, 2026 to join our dynamic teaching team.

The position is part-time (2 days, preferably Thursday and Friday) for a fixed contract until the end of 2026; however, there is a possibility of the position being available beyond 2026 and ongoing employment. 

St Christopher’s is seeking a teacher who is dedicated to catering for the individual needs of students and creating a positive classroom climate. The candidate must be a team player.

The successful applicant must have:(criteria)

  • strong relationship skills with students, staff and parents
  • an understanding and commitment to the MACS 2030 Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement
  • ability to use data to inform teaching in order to meet the individual needs of all students, especially in Maths and English
  • ability to create a positive and nurturing classroom environment
  • a passion for teaching
  • the ability to work within a team
  • current VIT registration
  • be accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School and a passion for teaching Religious Education within the Catholic context or prepared to gain accreditation
  • a strong commitment and proven record in Child Safety and the wellbeing of students
