About the role
Learning Support Officer
Killester College invites applications from passionate and committed Learning Support Officer/s to join our Learning Diversity team for the following fixed term positions, commencing in Term 3, 2026.
- Full Time | Fixed Term to the end of the 2026 school year
- Part Time 0.5 FTE Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoon | Fixed Term , Term 3 2026 only

The successful applicant will embrace the College's focus to challenge and support students to be creative and critical learners, demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with teachers and staff, and promote a positive learning environment. They will contribute to the quality of service provided to students with particular needs by supporting the learning program at the College
The major areas of responsibilty will include
- Working in partnership with the Learning Inclusion Leader and members of the Learning Diversity Team
- Communicating with teachers and other stakeholders about the specific needs and/or progress of students for whom they are responsible
- Keeping accurate records of student programs and progress and for NCCD verification
- Assisting with any intervention programs as directed by the Head of Learning Intervention Strategies
- Providing one-to-one, or group, support in the classroom delivering programs as per teacher instructions
