Position Information

The new Medowie High School will open to Year 7 students only at the start of Term 1, 2027. Located in Port Stephens on Worimi Country, the school serves a vibrant semi-rural community.

Recognising the unique opportunities and challenges of opening a new school, the successful applicant will work closely with the principal and executive team to establish inclusive systems, structures and processes that support students with disability and additional learning and support needs.

A key component of the role will be supporting Year 6 to Year 7 transition processes for students requiring additional support, contributing to enrolment planning, building strong partnerships with partner primary schools, families and external agencies, and supporting the establishment of inclusive practices that ensure a successful commencement for the school’s inaugural cohort of students.
