Cootamundra High School is a rural comprehensive high school serving Cootamundra and surrounding communities with approximately 220 students, including three multi-categorical support classes integrated into mainstream learning. The school promotes a respectful, inclusive and high-expectation learning environment guided by core values of Respect, Responsibility and Excellence, and stands on Gudhamangdhuray Wiradjuri land with 13% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Students access a broad curriculum including Vocational Education and Training through Cootamundra TAFE, and the school provides targeted wellbeing and learning support through inclusive facilities, strong community partnerships and a Positive Behaviour for Learning framework. Recent upgrades to learning spaces and ICT have enhanced teaching and learning, supported by a strong professional learning culture focused on evidence-based practice and data-driven improvement.

Position Information
Cootamundra High School is a rural comprehensive high school with a student population of 200, with 13% identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. The school proudly sits on four hectares of Gudhamangdhuray Wiradjuri land. We work in partnership with all stakeholders to seek high quality educational outcomes for all students. The school is fully staffed and is comprised of a broad range of teachers at various career stages.
As a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school our core values are respect, responsibility and excellence. Our school mantra is ‘Teachers Teach, Students Learn and Be Kind’. Our Learning Hub includes two stage based multi-categorical classes that provide targeted integration support for students into mainstream classrooms.
