Role description

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026

Esperance Senior High School (SHS) offers students a unique opportunity to engage in agricultural education through the Esperance Farm Training Centre, an off-site facility that combines academic learning with practical, industry-based experiences.

The Esperance Farm Training Centre is a working broadacre and livestock school farm located approximately 35 km from the main Esperance SHS campus. The centre provides a unique, agriculture-focused learning environment for students in Years 10 to 12.

Students engage in core Mathematics, English, Science and Humanities (MESH) subjects delivered through an agricultural context, supporting both academic and practical skills development. Year 10 students participate in a Rural Skills program, while Years 11 and 12 work towards a Certificate II in Agriculture, with a strong emphasis on hands-on, real-world learning.

All students also take part in a range of industry-relevant programs, including Driver Training, Metals Workshop, Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) Cadets, and Workplace Learning in the agricultural sector.
