Young High School is a comprehensive, co-educational secondary school serving students in Years 7 to 12, located in Young, New South Wales. As a government school, it provides secondary education to students across the Young community and surrounding region. Position Information
Young High School is a rural comprehensive high school approximately four hours southwest of Sydney and two hours from Canberra and Wagga Wagga and proudly located on the land of the Wiradjuri people. The school has an enrolment of 508 students from a growing diversity of cultural backgrounds, including 18% Aboriginal students and 5% language backgrounds other than English. In addition, five support classes, provide an inclusive and supportive environment for students with additional needs.
The school is committed to creating an optimal learning environment, based on a vision for continuous improvement and goals for our students, through shifts in thinking and a focus on innovative pedagogy.
The school works closely with the local community, local schools and the Temora Principal Network.
