Takari is an Aboriginal word meaning 'Tomorrow'. Established in 1969, Takari Primary School is located in the northern suburbs of Perth in the Balcatta area. The staff are highly competent and committed to providing a supportive, safe and nurturing environment to all our students. School improvement initiatives focusing on 'Curriculum and Teaching', 'Conditions for Learning' and 'Leadership and Management' drive our strategic direction. A School Chaplain supports the Student Services team two days a week and a School Psychologist attends one day a week. The school also partners with various agencies that provide trained volunteers to work with small groups or individual students.
