Role description

 

Prince of Peace Lutheran College is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Full time Secondary Teachers (Humanities) to join our vibrant learning community. This is a fixed-term opportunity (10 weeks), with the potential for extension, commencing in Term 3

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge, effective classroom practice, and a commitment to supporting student wellbeing and academic growth within a Christian educational setting.

ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

Reporting To: Curriculum Leader

Accountable To: Head of Campus, Deputy Head of Campus, Head of College

POSITION OBJECTIVES

The teacher at Prince of Peace Lutheran College supports the mission and ministry of the College as he/she competently teaches and pastorally cares for students within the College.

Working within a collaborative and well-resourced faculty, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that build real-world understanding, strong thinking skills, and student confidence
  • Use calm, consistent classroom practice and positive relational approaches to support learning and behaviour
  • Differentiate to meet a range of learning needs and provide timely feedback that helps students improve
  • Contribute to pastoral care and the holistic formation of young men within a faith community
