About the Opportunity
Gleeson College is pleased to offer an opportunity for a Reliefs Coordinator to join our community.
The Reliefs Coordinator is a key member of the Timetabling & Daily Organisation team, responsible for arranging staff coverage to ensure learning continues uninterrupted. It is an excellent position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, values a welcoming and supportive school community, and loves early mornings and early finishes.
The role requires a commitment to flexible working hours, (i.e. early start, early finish) to ensure that teacher cover requirements are organised and communicated ahead of the start of the school day.
The successful candidate can negotiate an increase in daily hours supplemented with other suitable duties available in the College.
Your Responsibilities:
- Record planned and unplanned staff absences, co-ordinate internal staff reliefs, and organise relief teachers.
- Work closely with staff and relief teachers to keep everyone informed, supported, and in the right place at the right time.
- Maintain accurate records, update the Daily Bulletin, support payroll with leave and staffing data, and (when requested) produce reports, all to keep the school day operating efficiently.
- Help onboard new relief teachers into Gleeson College so they feel welcomed and prepared to teach.
