This is a full-time continuing position commencing January 2027. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, authentic language instruction that reflects Auslan as a distinct visual-spatial language with its own grammar, syntax, and expressive features. They will design meaningful learning experiences that support students to develop communication skills while building an understanding of the linguistic richness and structure of Auslan. This role requires a strong commitment to Deaf culture and community, embedding cultural perspectives, identity, and lived experiences into everyday teaching. The successful candidate will create an inclusive respectful classroom that values diversity and provides opportunities for authentic engagement with Deaf culture, fostering both language proficiency and cultural awareness in students.
